Caversham Open Water Swim & SUP was set up at Caversham Lakes in 2020 to provide a safe and welcoming environment for individuals to get involved with open water swimming and stand up paddle boarding.

Over the last few years our numbers have continued to grow, seeing lots of new and regular faces coming down to the Lake each week. To support this we have created a group for our Swim & SUP community known as COWSS, this will be a fun and friendly group for likeminded individuals to connect and share their passion for open water, whether it’s open water swimming or stand up paddle boarding COWSS will bring everyone together.

The aim of this group is to encourage goals, friendships, health, fitness and good fun.

This group is accessible to all “types” of swimmers and paddle boarders, from leisure to competitive individuals.

Everyone has different reasons for swimming and stand up paddle boarding and should be encouraged to participate whatever they are. As some of the best forms of exercise, swimming & stand up paddle boarding have been shown to have numerous positive impacts on fitness and well-being.
